INEC lists the DLA presidential candidate as 35. Two UK company filings for a director of the same name give a 1994 birth date
INEC's signed final list gives Adebisi Moses Olusoji an age of 35, which is exactly the constitutional minimum for president. Two Companies House incorporation filings, made in 2022 and 2024 for companies under the "Thrillers" brand he has fronted in Nigeria, record a Nigerian director named Moses (Olusoji) Adebisi born in April 1994. On that date he would be 32 on polling day. Which record is right is not established, and the link between the filings and the candidate is our own inference, set out in full below.
INEC's final list of presidential candidates for the January 2027 election is signed on every page by Rose Oriaran-Anthony, Secretary of the Commission. On page 2, entry 9, against the Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA), it prints "ADEBISI MOSES OLUSOJI", male, age 35, with qualifications "FSLC SSCE BSc". His running mate, Abubakar Nafisat Usaku, is also listed as 35. Section 131(b) of the Constitution, as altered, says a person is qualified for election as President only if "he has attained the age of thirty-five years". On INEC's own figure, the candidate sits exactly at that floor.
Two filings at the United Kingdom's Companies House give a different birth date for a man of the same name. On 8 May 2024 the registrar received an application to register THRILLERS HEALTHTECH CARE LTD, company number 15712366, and the company was incorporated on 10 May 2024. Director 3 of 3 on that IN01 form is recorded with forenames "DR MOSES OLUSOJI" and surname "ADEBISI": date of birth "**/04/1994", nationality Nigerian, occupation Entrepreneur, country usually resident United Kingdom, with a service address at 20 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU. Companies House shows only the month and year of a director's birth. The same form names him as a person with significant control holding one of the company's three GBP 1 shares, which puts him in the "more than 25% but not more than 50%" band. The company's declared business was software development, IT services and residential care.
The second filing is two years older. On 7 August 2022 the registrar received an application for M&M THRILLERS HUMAN CARE LTD, company number 14281299, which was incorporated on 8 August 2022 to run residential care for people with learning difficulties, mental health problems or substance abuse. Its first director is "MR. MOSES" "ADEBISI": date of birth "**/04/1994", nationality Nigerian, country usually resident England, and occupation "PRESIDENT". He held 72 of the company's 100 GBP 1 shares (the other holdings were 17, 8 and 3, which adds to 100) and is recorded as its person with significant control, with more than 50% but less than 75% of shares and votes.
Neither company still exists. The filing history of M&M Thrillers Human Care shows no accounts and no confirmation statement after incorporation. A first Gazette notice for compulsory strike-off followed on 24 October 2023, and the company was dissolved on 9 January 2024. At Thrillers Healthtech Care, the appointments of all three directors, including "Moses Olusoji Adebisi", were terminated on 22 May 2025, and the registered office was moved to Peacehaven, East Sussex, on the same day. A strike-off notice followed on 29 July 2025 and the company was dissolved on 14 October 2025. Compulsory strike-off is an administrative process run by the registrar. The filing history records no finding of wrongdoing against anyone.
Why do we connect these filings to the candidate? The chain runs through two names he uses publicly: "ThisDaysMoses" and "Thrillers". The website of the Nigerian Liberty Movement (NLM), nlm.libertyapp.ng, has a page for its National Leader, "ThisDaysMoses, Amb. Moses O. Adebisi (PhD)". The photograph on that page is the same image as the portrait of the DLA candidate that Vero Record and others have used. The same man appears in a DLA-branded photograph that the News Agency of Nigeria ran on 22 August 2026 with its report that the party had affirmed Adebisi as its presidential candidate. On 20 August 2024 Leadership reported an NLM statement that named the movement's founder as "Dr. Moses Olusoji Adebisi" and "Amb Moses Olusoji Adebisi PhD", "our very own ThisDaysMoses". When the DLA presented him with a certificate of return, Leadership reported on 24 August 2026 that he pledged to "restore" the "human dignity" eroded by successive governments. "Restoration of Human Dignity" is the NLM's own slogan.
Thrillers is the other link. On 13 January 2024 The Guardian described "The Co-Founder/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thrillers Travels, Dr. Moses Adebisi, also known as ThisdayMoses", and ThisDay used almost the same words on 20 January 2024. Both papers report that his company had presented Canadian work visas to people who, he said, paid a N250,000 processing fee. In August 2023 ThisDay, The Sun and Brandcrunch quoted "Ambassador Moses Adebisi", co-founder of Thrillers Travels, as saying: "We already have offices in the UK, the US and Canada." The UK register holds two Thrillers-named companies with a Nigerian director of that name. The 2024 filing uses the title "Dr" and all three names that INEC prints, in a different order.
That identification is Vero Record's inference, not a finding of any registry. Companies House says on every page that it does not check the accuracy of the information filed. Moses and Adebisi are common names, and no document we hold ties the London company numbers to a Nigerian identity number or passport. Two Thrillers-branded companies, the title "Dr", Nigerian nationality, the full three-part name and the same birth month and year in two filings made 21 months apart make a coincidence unlikely. They do not make it impossible.
If the two records concern one man, they cannot both be right. Someone born in April 1994 turned 32 in April 2026. He will still be 32 on 16 January 2027, the date INEC has set for the presidential election, and he would not reach 35 until April 2029. INEC's printed ages appear to be counted from the nomination period in mid-2026, not from polling day: the same list gives Atiku Abubakar, born in November 1946, as 79, and Kashim Shettima, born in September 1966, as 59. On that basis, an age of 35 points to a birth in 1990 or 1991, about three years before the date in the UK filings. This arithmetic is ours.
INEC's figure comes from the candidate's own nomination papers. Section 29(2) of the Electoral Act 2026 requires every candidate to swear an affidavit at a High Court "indicating that he or she has fulfilled all the constitutional requirements for election into that office". Section 29(3) requires INEC to publish each candidate's personal particulars within 21 days. On 1 August 2026 INEC published the Form EC9 particulars of the original presidential candidates, and the DLA's candidate at that point was Samuel Memeh. Olusoji replaced Memeh in a substitution primary on 20 August. We found no published copy of the substitute candidate's EC9 or affidavit, and we have not seen the birth date he swore to.
The law provides a route for testing an affidavit, but it is narrow. Under Section 29(5), an aspirant who took part in the same party's primaries and has "reasonable grounds to believe" that information a candidate gave about his constitutional requirements is false may ask the Federal High Court for a declaration. Section 29(6) says that where the court finds the information false "only as it relates to constitutional requirements of eligibility", it "shall issue an order disqualifying the candidate and the sponsoring political party". We found no record of any such suit against the DLA candidate. Section 29(4) allows any person to buy a certified true copy of a candidate's nomination form and affidavit from INEC. Vero Record purchases no records, so we have not obtained one.
The qualifications do not line up either. INEC lists "FSLC SSCE BSc" for the DLA candidate. Where other candidates filed doctorates, the same list prints them, for example "Ph.D." for Sunday Chibuzo Okereke and "Bsc, MSC, Phd" for Nkem Esther Okereke. Yet the 2024 UK filing gives his title as "DR", the NLM website calls him "Amb. Moses O. Adebisi (PhD)", and Leadership, The Guardian and ThisDay call him "Dr." The records we read do not show whether he holds a doctorate, whether an earned doctorate was left off his INEC papers, or whether the title is honorary, and they do not show where the title "Ambassador" comes from.
His place of residence is described in different ways too. Tribune Online, osun.life and Alltimepost introduced him in August 2026 as a "United States-based" entrepreneur or businessman. The 2022 UK filing gives his usual residence as England, and the 2024 filing as the United Kingdom, until his directorship ended in May 2025. The NLM website speaks of a research footprint "spanning the USA, UK, Germany, Canada, Ireland, and the UAE". People move, and these accounts are not necessarily in conflict. They are recorded here because the residence entries sit on the same forms as the 1994 birth date.
The political background is short. INEC registered the DLA with effect from 5 February 2026. The NLM, which he founded as a political movement, said in January 2026 that INEC had refused to register it, according to The Eagle Online. Samuel Memeh, the DLA's national chairman, was first nominated as its presidential candidate. He withdrew, and Olusoji was affirmed in substitution primaries held in state chapters, including one in Osogbo on 20 August 2026. He became, at a listed 35, the youngest presidential candidate in the field.
There are several ways the two records could have come apart. The same wrong year could have been entered at Companies House twice. The age INEC printed could rest on a different birth date from the one he filed in London. Or the London director could be a different Nigerian with the same name, title and business brand. Each explanation can be checked against documents the candidate holds: his Form EC9 and affidavit, his birth certificate or passport, and his own Companies House records. Vero Record did not reach Mr Olusoji, the DLA or its chairman before publication. Any response will be published in full, and this report will be corrected if the documents show it is wrong.
What this rests on
INEC's signed 2027 Presidential Final List of Candidates (downloaded from inecnigeria.org and read, page 2, entry 9); two Companies House IN01 incorporation filings (15712366, received 8 May 2024; 14281299, received 7 August 2022), downloaded and read, together with both companies' officer, PSC and filing-history pages; the Constitution as consolidated by PLAC (s.131); the Electoral Act 2026 (s.29); the NLM website's National Leader page. Press reports (NAN, Leadership, The Guardian, ThisDay, The Sun, Brandcrunch, Tribune Online, osun.life, Alltimepost, The Eagle Online) tie the candidate to the NLM, the name ThisDaysMoses and Thrillers Travels. Vero Record's own inference (grade C) is that the UK director and the candidate are the same person, together with our age arithmetic.
What this does not establish
That the Companies House director and the DLA candidate are the same person: this is our inference from name, title, nationality, the Thrillers brand and photographs, and no registry says so. Which birth date is correct, if they are one person. The birth date in the candidate's Form EC9 and sworn affidavit, which we have not seen. That the candidate is ineligible or made any false statement: no court or INEC has found either, and no Section 29(5) suit is known. Whether he holds a doctorate, and what the title "Ambassador" refers to. Why the two UK companies were struck off, beyond what the filing history shows. The candidate's response: we did not reach him or the DLA before publication.
What we did ourselves
Downloaded and read INEC's final list and both UK incorporation filings, and rendered the relevant pages. Searched the Companies House register for every "Thrillers" company and for officers named Moses Adebisi, and set aside the unrelated Thrillers companies. Traced the candidate's identity from the DLA's campaign photograph to the NLM leader page, and then through the NLM founder's name ("Moses Olusoji Adebisi", "ThisDaysMoses") to press accounts of Thrillers Travels and its stated UK office. Checked how INEC counts ages against other candidates' published birth dates (Atiku 79, Shettima 59), worked out what a 1994 birth means on polling day, and set the Electoral Act 2026 s.29 remedies against the facts.
