WE FOLLOWED THE REFINERY MONEY. THE SAME NAMES KEPT COMING BACK.
The EFCC showed us where some of the money allegedly ended up. We went backwards to find where it started.
Two former refinery managing directors. Two separate EFCC cases. Port Harcourt and Warri. Different files, different timelines — but one contractor name appears in both: Ebenco Global Link Limited. In the Warri case, another name appears beside it: JKPEEZ Impex.
That should have been the end of it. It wasn’t.
We went backwards through older public records and found Ebenco and JKPEEZ appearing together years earlier in the same NNPC ecosystem, including work connected to Tank 104 at Escravos. One public legal biography explicitly describes work involving “Ebenco Global Link Ltd/JKPEEZ/NNPC.” That does not prove corruption. It proves the relationship did not begin with the cases we are reading today.
And that changes the question.
The story is no longer simply whether contractors allegedly paid former refinery officials. The bigger question is where the contractor money came from in the first place. Who approved the contracts? Who approved the payments? What work was invoiced? Which accounts received the money first? And what happens when those dates are placed beside the transactions now before the courts?
That is where this gets more interesting.
Because once you stop reading the charges forward and start reading them backwards, you do not just see isolated transfers anymore. You start seeing a longer commercial history, recurring names, the same refinery ecosystem, and a money trail whose beginning is still missing from the public picture.
The EFCC showed us where some of the money allegedly ended up. We went backwards to find where it started.
And the further back we went, the same names kept appearing.
We have more on this trail than we could fit into one post.
Do you want us to keep going and publish the next layer - the companies, the contracts and the people behind the payments?
